What is FRIENDS Divine Mercy Apostolate?
The Friends Divine Mercy Apostolate was founded in May 2007 to establish framework for the renewed Community Mission/Vision to reach out to more people by propagating the Divine Mercy of Jesus.
FDMC now has two major growth priorities the Divine Mercy Apostolate and the existing Charismatic Activities.
The DM Apostolate covers two important functions: Propagation of the Devotion of the Divine Mercy and Works of Mercy (Outreach Arm).

The locations of Divine Mercy on the Block have posted a growth rate of 225% — from an initial 8 DMOB locations to 24 DMOBs by end of third quarter 2007. The significant increase in DMOBs began when the FRIENDS Divine Mercy Apostolate (FDMA) was created in May 2007. It was at that time that the Community just came from a successful outreach seminar in Ho Chi Minh, Viet Nam whereby the DMOB was warmly by Filipino workers and communities. Out of the current DMOB 24 locations, 3 blocks are from Ho Chi Minh.
The FRIENDS Divine Mercy Apostolate was conceptualized to establish framework that would prioritize propagation of the devotion to the Divine Mercy. Under the apostolate is the flagship activity for the propagation, the Divine Mercy on the Block — an activity similar to the Block Rosary where the Divine Mercy Image is enthroned in a different household every week.
Staffing was also a big factor in the steadily growing number of DMOBs. DMOB ministers in each FDMC chapter locations were appointed to spearhead all activities related to the Apostolate.
